“We but mirror the world.
All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.”
Or, as the saying is more reductively quoted:
“Be the change you want to see.”
Women’s empowerment has never been more present in the minds of the people, nor in Jiu Jitsu. The past decade has seen interest in our sport spike in female participation, and whilst our numbers are still a far cry from those of our male counterparts, we are undoubtedly, and unapologetically, here.
But there is still a lot to be done when we talk about striving toward equality within the sport, and what better way to move forward than with Empowered Women Empowering other Women within our sport, both on and off the mats.
Empower is just a word on a page. Despite the definition above, we can neither give you power, nor authority. But the word can become an action should you so want, and through the big actions of some, and the smaller actions of many, we can progress from a word, to an action, to a movement.
Empowered Women, Empower Women.
Our custom cut rashguard, developed specifically for ladies, and based on more of a compression top fit so they are fairly snug. This helps them stay in place whilst rolling...as much as they can anyway! If you're unsure, or prefer a bit of a looser fit then order a size up. There's flatlock stitching throughout for comfort and quality, and the artwork is fully sublimated, so it's going nowhere!
Available in sizes UK6 - UK24
